    • FAQ’s
      • I don’t know how to get started or what to say.
      • We don’t have anything in common. What do I do?
      • We’ve been corresponding for a while now, and I just don’t think we’re a good match.
      • Is it appropriate to ask why they’re in prison?
      • Do you do background checks on your inside penpals?
      • I don’t identify as LGBTTQ. Can I still participate?
      • I identify differently than my penpal. Is this an issue?
      • Are there things I shouldn’t talk about when corresponding with my penpal?
      • A lot of the materials prepared by the Prisoner Correspondence Project seem to communicate a more political or more radical perspective than I feel comfortable with; do I need to agree with the outlook of your organization to become a penpal?

The Prisoner Correspondence Project is a working group of QPIRG Concordia and an affiliate group of the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy. We are endlessly grateful and appreciative for the financial support these organizations provides us. As the project continues to grow, however, so do our operating costs (in particular, the day to day expenses for photocopies, stationary, and most of all, postage) and we are always in need of donations.

If you would like to make a small (or large) contribution to help sustain the work we do, we wouldn’t say no. We’d also send you a beautiful silk-screened poster for your trouble!

You will need a paypal account to make a donation. Once signed in, click on send money and enter “donate@prisonercorrespondenceproject.com” in the To: field.
