Participez au Projet de correspondance avec les prisonnier-e-s lors de notre soirée d’écriture & de correspondances du mois de Mai ! Installez-vous avec un bon breuvage chaud dans l’une des salles du Cagibi, rencontrez d’autres participant.e.s non-incarcéré.e.s, écrivez des correspondances, ou faites-vous assigner à un-e correspondant-e incarcéré-e. Tou-te-s sont les bienvenu-e-s, que vous soyez un-e habitué-e ou non!

Les membres collectifs du Projet de correspondance avec les prisonnier-e-s seront présents durant tout l’évènement pour discuter du projet, pour parler de leur expérience en tant que correspondant-e non-incarcéré-e, ainsi que pour répondre aux questions!!!

Cette soirée sera la quatrième version de nos soirées de correspondances mensuelles, tenues à tous les premiers lundis du mois de 19h à 21h30 au Cagibi.

Nous sommes toujours à la recherche de nouvelles/eaux correspondant-e-s non-incarcéré-e-s!

Le Projet de Correspondance avec les Prisonniers est une initiative collective basée à Montréal, Québec. Le projet coordonne des correspondances directes avec des personnes incarcérées gaies, transsexuelles, transgenres, non-conformistes de genre, intersexuelles, bisexuelles et/ou queers au Canada et aux États-Unis. Le projet cherche à créer des liens entre les personnes de ces mêmes communautés, incarcérées ou non.

Join Prisoner Correspondence Project for the May edition of our monthly letter-writing night! Cozy up with a warm drink in the backroom of le Cagibi, meet other non-incarcerated participants in the project, and write some letters, or get matched up with a new penpal! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a seasoned penpal through the project or you’re interested in getting matched up for the first time.

Prisoner Correspondence Project collective members will be around all evening to chat about the project and available to talk about our experiences as outside penpals, and to support you in any questions you might have about your letters.

This will be the 4th installment of monthly letter-writing nights, which normally happen on the first Monday of every month from 7-9:30 pm at Le Cagibi, 5490 St. Laurent, Montreal, QC.

We are always looking for new non-incarcerated folks to become penpals!

food and drink specials for the night!), meet other outside
participants in the project, and write some letters or get matched up
with a new penpal! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a seasoned

Spend a Friday afternoon curled up in QPIRG’s sunny lounge and get to know the Prisoner Correspondence Project! Join members of the collective as we work on filling requests made by our incarcerated pen-pals. Our waiting list of folks inside prison who are requesting a pen-pal is long and getting longer, and we are actively looking for new people outside prison who are interested in corresponding.
Mark your calendars, we’ll be around February 24th, March 30th and onwards. Drop by, read through letters, find yourself a pen-pal or help us send out resources from our library. Also, if you have any questions regarding involvement in the project or your current pen-pal relationship, this would be a great time to come by and talk.
